The key to successful training is creating realistic environments, into which participants get so deeply immersed that they are stimulated and able to demonstrate realistic behavior. In the domain of Emergency Response it is all about decision making under time stress, in a more or less unknown situation with limited information. Important factors are real-time, real-effect and dynamic simulation that follows all actions and decisions made by the participants, thus open-ended scenarios.

To meet these requirements ADMS combines physics-based simulation with artificial intelligence and offers open-ended learning situations. Trainees' decisions and the use of intelligent resources they command drive the development, escalation or resolution of the situation.

High-fidelity 3D-visualization with directional sound of the environment, threats, citizens and emergency response services combine to present a convincing representation of real world and construct an authentic training environment. To immerse participants further, a complete range of simulator elements are offered. These include: immersive visual displays, scent simulation, vehicle controls and cabs and motion platforms.
