Airport Crash Truck Operation (ADMS-ARFF)
ADMS-ARFF is an Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting vehicle simulator that provides airport fire fighting crew commanders and drivers an opportunity to gain operational experience in driving, positioning and operating the vehicle, using turret controls to extinguish fires, saving lives, containing and controlling spillage, mitigating damage, mobilizing resources, working with a team, and command and control. ADMS-ARFF can train for orientation skills such as driving on the Airport Operations Area (AOA) in any weather condition, recognizing signs and markings, observing speed limits, right of way, proper radio communications, and dealing with air traffic movement.
The system consists of a two-position mock vehicle cab, a center console with appropriate turret controls and gauges, a steering wheel, pedal controls and an out-the-window view of the environment. ADMS-ARFF allows responders to gain valuable insight and experience they might otherwise only gain during actual emergencies, and is an affordable and economic investment for any size airport.
ADMS-ARFF can be outfitted with any specific vehicle cabin control and gauge layout. The view for the driver and crew commander can be visualized by using various types of visual screens like single and triple LCD-screen or projection screens, and up to 180-degree cylindrical screens. Other immersive add-ons are directional sound and seat vibration. ADMS-ARFF solutions are available from basic mobile versions to full immersive training cabs. It all depends on your training needs and local requirements.
