ETC Advanced Disaster Management Simulator Purchased by German Fire Brigade

-- Environmental Tectonics Corporation (AMEX:ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") today announced the signing of a contract with Germany's Düsseldorf Fire Brigade to provide a multi-station Advanced Disaster Management Simulator (ADMS) training system.
Simulation Division President, Marco van Wijngaarden commented, "We are very pleased to cooperate with the Düsseldorf Fire Brigade on the development of the first German version of ADMS. We look forward to our proven training platform being adopted by other Fire Brigades and Emergency Services in Germany and other European countries."
ADMS is a high fidelity, interactive training platform that offers a proven methodology to provide operationally cost-effective synthetic incident and disaster management experience. It has been used to train emergency responders around the world since 1995 to better prepare to respond to and mitigate incidents.
ADMS trains individuals or entire response teams in the four C's of disaster management: Command, Control, Coordination and Communication, and is NIMS/ICS compliant. ADMS simulates emergency incidents and disasters such as terrorist acts, Weapons of Mass Destruction, hazardous material spills, multi-vehicle road accidents, fires and natural disasters. ADMS authentically simulates the dynamic elements of the environment (people, vehicles, threats) that are significant in a disaster situation. The outcomes of actions taken provide authentic feedback, resulting in real skill building.
ADMS leverages technology proven through over a decade of service, realistically simulating both "trigger" events and the evolving situation. The results of action (or inaction) and the cascading consequences of sound or unsound actions, very effectively create the stress levels similar to those in the real world. ADMS is also used to test and validate emergency response and management plans.
