First Response: EMS

Emergency Medical First Responders and First Receivers from Hospitals can be trained with ADMS. Trainees can assess virtual casualties, observe vital signs, decide severity of injuries, assign priorities, and choose treatment and transportation options. ADMS simulates the health status of the casualties as one of the consequences of trainees’ decisions.

Quantities and types of casualties can be adjusted within every incident scenario, using the Instructor Toolset. Every casualty is created according to the latest medical Triage Standards. Trauma doctors have validated the included medical information to ensure its accuracy.

Triage - Trainees triage the casualties by assessing vital signs and other medical information of the virtual casualties. The casualties can be also be tagged with color coded triage cards (red, green, yellow and black) to indicate status.

Treatment - Trainees can decide to stabilize and treat the casualties. In some cases, casualties are stabilized in a crashed car. With large scale emergencies treatment areas/tents can be established to treat casualties.

Transportation - Casualties can be transported by ambulances and helicopters to hospitals and non/light-injured by buses to shelters. Incoming ambulances can be directed to the ambulance pools from where ambulances can drive to the dedicated treatment areas.
