BART - Behavioral Assessment and Research Tool - An ADMS-based research instrument called the Behavioral Assessment and Research Tool was developed for the Netherlands Institute for Safety. The goal of the research is to validate the use of simulation for fire prevention modeling and to research methods for improvement of building evacuation. This ADMS version consists of an exact copy of an existing hotel in the Netherlands. Various scenarios can be set up and repeated. Information such as way-finding and walking paths is automatically collected and saved by ADMS, and presented as visual and statistical reports for the researchers. Comparing them with full-scale field tests will validate the simulation.
